80LS1T
I am in the process of updating my fuel system and I am trying to figure out what I should do with the EVAP canister line that runs from the fuel tank all the way up to the engine bay. Now since obviously Im not running any emissions equipent this line is not needed and is only in the way. The question is though what should I do with it? Should I just block it off up at the tank or should I leave it open as a vent? Guy

Guest PROJECTRB240SX
IF YOU LIKE BOOM AND FIREBALLS IT WONT HURT ANYTHING..... YOUR VENTING FUEL VAPORS INTO YOUR HOT ENGINE BAY. EITHER ROUTE IT INTO YOU INTAKE TRACK OR VENT IT UNDER THE CAR AWAY FROM ANYTHING HOT.
Guest 77vegasz
If you can find a vented gas cap that fits, you cam block it off. If not, you can mont the cannister in the passenger wheel well as shown in the JTR manual and run it there. This will keep the smell down. 80LS1T
I think I will vent it out to near the gas cap. I'll put one of those vent lines like used on a front or rear differental on a truck. It has a cap on it and just allows the diff. to vent but keeps out debre. The whole point of gettting the EVAP line and canister out of the engine bay for me is to make it less cluttered. Plus I didnt have the line hooked up so that it could vent into the engine. I just want anything thats not serving a purpose out the engine bay! Guy
