Sparky
Mike, You and I are on the same page. My dad drives the first year SC300, and every time I do work on it I cannot help but think S30. I WILL build a 2JZ or 1JZ powered Z in the near future. I would actually like to build a NA version with some triples on it.........just because I can. more than likely though It will be a Single turbo 2JZ. maybe if I convert it to individual TBI system I can get the look of triples, but with boost, and FI. drool drool drool. But all this will have to wait until I graduate and get a "real" job.
Guest ON3GO
But all this will have to wait until I graduate and get a "real" job. wow.. if i dont say those words everyday. i can buy a 1JZ for next to nothing so this swap is very temping.. but atlast.. no money. mike
Sparky
Yeah, You can get the 1JZ for a good price, but being an architecture major is SOOOOO fricken time consuming. I quit my job and got some lones so I concentrate on school and maybe still have a social life. But....School is now my job as i'm here 12-15 hours a day, desiging this, building that, drawing this, reading that. hope its worth it in the end. after all, I did sell my '73, and all of my spare parts.....I have just enough to put the 72T together, but I cant drive it when its done because I live downtown, and there is no way in hell my turbo car is sitting on the street in my ghetto ass nieghborhood. arrrrr, besides that, I think its time for me to get a nicer, newer dailydriver that I can still fix up, but not so much that its a target for thives or other misc riff-raff, arseholes. mike, got some subaru knowledge? the sights ive been looking at ar in need of some serious orginization. Tony240ZT
I just bought a T-61 Turbo off of a guy with one of these cars. He is going with the 2jz-gte engine. The car also has some supra brakes and suspention parts. I understand he put some pretty wide wheels/tires under the car as well. He's going with a single T-61 as well, but with a larger turbine than the one he sold me. Guy's name is Walter Mulligan located in Englishtown, NJ Since the prices of the Supra MKIV are so high still this car would be something very similar for a much better starting price. Might even be more comfortable.
Sparky
oh...never got to my point in the last post. I have the money....but no time. I dont even have time to change the oil and the struts in my Honduh, let alone a swap that will need some constant tweeking an work in order to be reliable. ALSO, I will have my summers, but will be in different country each summer until 2007. hope time flys, I want to drive a pressurized ZED. I might just get a dastchund and name him ZED, get my fix ya know....
