violacleff
If not how would I cipher it out, and is there any additive I could stick in there to help out? What would you suggest?
Guest 260ondubs
1 year???? Just get rid of the whole lot outta the tank. It will be no good whatsoever. Drain it using the plug on the bottom of the tank. Put new stuff in. Your car will run like crap with the old fuel.
datsunlover
I'd do that, AND befor starting, pull off the fuel feed line and let the pump push any crap/old gas/varnish out befor firing the car up.
olie05
is there any additive I could stick in there to help out? What would you suggest? I'm not suggesting that you use the old fuel AT ALL, but I think such a product is available...
Guest Magnum Rockwilder
That gas isn't even gas anymore, but if you're a lazy ass you can pour in a bottle of isopropyl alcohol and fill the tank with fresh low octane gas and it should run. Take it easy until you get the bad gas burned out, though. Don't go WOT or it'll knock.
Guest zfan
Yeah one year is entirely too long. Dump it. Next time if you know your fuel will sit for one year add some fuel stabilizer. Mike
