Guest jjohart
I'm getting a replacement for a pocked up right rear lens/assembly and harness on my 83 280ZXT, and I did a rudimentary search without results on what I need to do to swap out the old/put in the new. Can anyone tell me what tools I need, how to do it without breaking stuff, etc? Thanks John-Boston area
80LS1T
You mean you want to replace the whole rear tail light assembely? All you have to do is remove that back trim panel, get an 8mm deepwell socket and take off teh 6 nuts holding on the metal braket on the inside fo the car. Once the bracket is off and the wiring is disconnected just pop out the whole assembely! It might stick at first because the tail light gasket but those 8 nuts are the only thing holding it in. Cody 82 ZXT
It's real easy just unbolt it from the back side remove harness replace with new unit. Make sure not to tear up the rubber gasket.
