SHO-Z
I am in the middle of designing my supercharging system for my Z. I did a search on this and could not find any information. How does the brake booster work on a turbo ZX? The only time that the turbo engine has vacuum is at idle, so does where does the brake booster get the vacuum to operate? Also does the ZX have the vacuum system to operate the heater controls like the 240-280Z?
rags
It gets it's vacuum just like a N/A motor, from the intake manifold. There is a one way check valve in the vacuum line for the times the motor is under boost. You really never hit the brakes when under boost unless something is drastically wrong!
