innerware
So, what are you guys doing about a spare tire if any? I still have that colapsable tire thing that came with the car but wouldn't know if it is any good or not. What the hell kind of tire is that anyway? Is it supposed to have no air in it? I know a lot of you are using fuelcells and have gotten rid of it. I have AAA so I don't worry too much. Do other spare tire sizes fit on the small rim that the colapsable tire is on? Just wondering what you all are doing, Thanks
Pop N Wood
Most space saver spares won't fit once you put on oversized brakes anyway. I am 47 years old. Only once in my 30+ years of driving have I gotten stranded on the side of the road changing a tire, and that time was fully preventable. I knew the tire had a slow leak but was putting off getting it fixed. Actually I don't like driving without a spare. But my Z is a fair weather car anymore so the odds are in my favor. qwik240z
I have a space saver spare from a 1988 Maxima. Fits the car and reduces weight too.
Guest 240zJake
Could you use a skinny drag tire instead of the traditional spare? Then you could reduce the depth of the spare tire well and run a bigger gas tank...
