do these cars even have a frame or are they uni-body?

well, i know someone who did the 350 swap and broke his front window from the tourque.

say i want to put an LT1 in it. i was to eventually run low 11's (maybe more as time goes on because the need to go faster will eventually hit) will be a street car. what would i have to do structuraly to the car to make it handle this?

is any of this covered in the JTR manual?

The z cars are a unibody car .

The best way to make the car stronger is to add a roll cage and some braces. can get expensive unless you make your own. You will need a tube bender and welder to do this. And some roll bar tubing. or you can buy a prefab cage or roll bar. If you can weld . Harbor Freight sells tube benders. I am making my own and a freind of mine, made a beautiful full cage for a willys drag truck he is building. Just remeber to burn your welds all the way through. A weak cage can break and impale you instead of saving you.

Also think about a fuel cell , battery box with a battery disconnect.
