gexgexgexgex Posted December 7, 2004 Share Posted December 7, 2004 i plan on putting a 1987 300zx turbo lsd diff into my 1973 240z this winter and i am getting all of my parts togeather now. i want to just make sure that i have all the parts and info to make it happen. parts i have r200 lsd from an auto 1987 300zx turbo (got it for 100$ what a deal) r200 out of a 1982 280zx turbo imput shafts from the 280zx, i have the whole car so i have the rest of the stuff for the diff parts i am getting mustash bar from a 280z, maybe from the kit from z barn is there anything else i will need, also i have heard of people putting stronger half-shafts or companion flanges or something, what do i have to do to make this diff and half-shafts ect very strong Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Clifton Posted December 12, 2004 Share Posted December 12, 2004 The pinion flange on the Z31 R200's is larger. You will need to change that with the 280zx one or change the rear flange on you D-shaft. Other than that you will just need a mustache bar and the non CV r200 input flanges.
