Guest Cronic
Where can I get one of these? I would like to bore out my L28ET .060 over, and go with a LD crank and forged pistons. I don't plan to spin the motor more then 6250, and with the r/s ratio of 1.57 or so, it shouldn't be too hard on the engine. I hope. Anyone know where I can get ahold of one? I'd like to have a 2995cc engine.
wigenOut-S30
They come in the Diesel maximas from the early 80's the motor is the LD28E. I had one in my Z before I went turbo. There are alot of things you will need to do besides just getting this crank. You will either need custom rods or 240Z rods. As for pistons most people use the KA pistons..what compression ratio are you looking to make? Here is a site that has great info on it about doing the stroker. http://www.geocities.com/inlinestroker/
Guest Cronic
I planed on having about an 8.5:1 comp ratio, and leave the engine boosted. I was going to use the stock rods, but Im not sure if you can, and go with custom wiseco pistons. I was lookin to bore it out .060 and not kill the sleeve walls too much. Leaving room for another rebuild if I needed it.
510six
A good budget turbo 3 liter combo is LD crank , L24 9mm rods with ARP bolts, and VG30dett pistons. The VG30dett pistons can take a 100hp per cyl if you don`t detonate.
