Guest Magnum Rockwilder
Long story short: I met a guy tonight who has a motorcycle for sale for DIRT CHEAP, and I wrote his phone number on my hand. It got wiped off. I got his license plate number off the security camera in front of the business where we were. Is there any way I can get the address where the vehicle is registered so I can go to the house and buy his bike? Thanks.
Guest the_dj
It is possible. Do you have any friends that are police officers? They've proved very helpful in those situations here.
Guest Magnum Rockwilder
I know a guy who knows a guy who's a police officer, but I won't see them until next week. This guy is hard up for money NOW, and he's selling his motorcycle for 1/4 of retail value.
Ferd/289
I think the police will give this information as a normal course of business. Several years ago some woman did damage to a fender on my wifes car. My wife got the license number, and the cops gave me the information. This was in Kansas City Kansas. Pop N Wood
Varies with the state, but the Maryland MVA will give you a name, address and even social security number if you have a plate number and $5.
cameron
Posted by Two40MuscleZ: Current policies (in CA) do not allow for the desimination of information from plate request(s). Officers who provide such information run the risk of Departmental Advirse Action. The information is considered Confidential and Private. DMV no longer can provide such informtion even for a fee. Sorry to break the news to ya. VAN
