EZ-E
Well I was able with the new CHTS to get it running tonight. It did run really rough, and was still running extremely rich. No power and seemed to be flooding still. When I first tried to start it, it wouldnt start but tried. number one cylinder was carbon fouled, number six, not at all, 2-5 fuel fouled. Pulled the plugs, cleaned them and started over, it then ran but still like i said extremely rough and rich. I am at my wits end as to what is wrong with this car! Something I might have missed is that two injectors were leaking, I had listened to each injector, 2 of the six I could barely hear clicking on off, the rest were quite audible, could the injectors be stuck open? Could this be whats causing it to run so rich and flood out? Thanks for all the help you have given so far.
EZ-E
After much thought and time consuming affairs, the problem has been resolved, it was the injectors!! 3 of the were open and one not two like I had though were leaking. Basically just dumping all there fuel in all the time. She purrs like a kitten again, thanks to everyone for all theyre suggestions and help. EZ-E
Actually that is exactly how I did it. Started there and had gone a bit more technical after the fact. Glad I had 4 injectors laying around. Seems they must have been going for a while as other small problems 2 to be exact have not disappeared as well. Im well chuffed.) Thumper
Well congrats. I am diagnosing I similar problem on my friends car. So I hope I find a cheaper problem then the injectors.
EZ-E
I hear you, it was strange that they were out, as I had said, it all pointed elsewhere, I hope it isnt as expensive as injectors too. It can cost a pretty penny rather quickly!
