HeatRaveR
At stock tuning levels, between the RB25DET, the RB26DETT, and the SR20DET, does anyone know which engine is friendliest with the relatively low octane (91 in CA) we get in the states? I mean, which can retain the most power with minimal drawbacks (ie detonation, crappy gas mileage, excessive pollution, whatever)?
Clifton
RB26 or 2JZ will make the most on pump.
Hugh
No matter what you're putting in, it can all be fixed in tuning. On a stock motor with stock computer and such, it seems that a good Walbro fuel pump is enough to keep an SR20DET running right. (the pump increases fuel pressure a bit) They're tuned pretty rich from the factory, anyway.
