Guest dancaprar
I JUST made the order for the Chevrolet TPI and TBI engine swapping and the Datsun Z V-8 Conversion Manual. With those and this site i cant go wrong. BUTT what was the most difficult part of the process? I would imagine finding a clean enough z shell. DaleMX
The most difficult part of the process is avoiding the "while I'm at it" syndrome.
EvilC
Like everyone here has told me....just keep looking and something will come your way. Good Luck
wheelman
You're right on the money Dale!!! The hardest part is avoiding the "While I'm at it" syndrome. It would be a bit easier to answer the question if we knew what your plans are. You being from Arizona will make it much more likely that you'll be able to find a clean car as a base platform. sjhafa
"while I'm at it" ha! boy did I get caught up in that one. Where is that person who said they could do the swap for a couple of hunders bucks? Ebay will become a close friend along with a host of catalog companies. But thats why we are here because we WANT to build it rather than just buy one. Enjoy my friend!
Guest dancaprar
I HAD a few engine options open to me a while back but they fell through and now I have a shatty 88 blazer that will get scrapped when i pull the 350 and tranny. I will destroke the 350( into 327 i think ) and go the strong and reliable...for a while... high RPM naturally aspirated route. I would love to do this with a respectable budget but i dont have the good sense to opt for cast(which will do) when forged(which is overkill) is an option. As a basis ,forged internals, T56, not going solid rear, and...and.....thats it for now. Still need to read up i still have much to learn so my stalking will continue(almost reaching the 1 year mark). Budget isnt TOOOO big of an issue since this wont be an overnight project.
