Guest 1977Datsun
I tried to sear the post but found nothing. I want to just take off the fan belt that goes the the A/C unit. Would any thing be conflicting with just disconnecting its wires and leaving it in place. I don't think the a/c works and the pulley seems a little stiff so I thought it may be draing what little engine power i have??????
Tim240z
Just take the belt off. You don't have to disconnect the wire if you don't want to. If the unit is still charged with refrigerant, take it in and get it drained, then remove the AC pump completely. Those things weigh a ton, and taking it off will help by removing all that weight over your front wheels.
