Guest Timd
I can see myself getting shot down for this but bugger it. I have an 82 280zx thats running an r180 with CVs (thanks Matt73GNZ for help with id. Now i searched for hours last night for info on an r200 swap for this model. However i could only find info relating to the earlier models of Z's. I would like to know what r200 i should be looking for to swap in and from what donor car. My zx is running an rb20det looking at max 220rwkw so im not looking for anything over the top. As i will be doing the swap myself i wouldnt mind making the process as simple as possible. Will an r200 from a 280zx represent the most simple swap? Ive also read that the r200 can hurt a Z's balance and handling, is this also the case with the 280zx? Thanks for your time.............Tim
datsunlover
I would think any zx R200 would bolt right in.. maybe a change in driveshafts or pinion flanges would be required though..

I agree with the above statement and want to add that you may need a new rear diff. mount.
