Guest davo1482
I am wondering if I can put a p90 head off a turbo motor on my old l24 motor? Will this be worth while and a benefit and will it work with carb setup?
Guest DoTheDrew888
The P90 head should fit on the L24 block but it will hang over the side about 1-2mm. It will bolt on fine. The question is, why do you want a P90 head on your L24? It will dramatically lower the compression and I can't think of anything that would be good about it, besides maybe better flow. JMortensen
The valves will hit the cylinders. You would need to notch the block, even then you probably wouldn't get better flow because the valve would still be very close to the cylinder wall. The P90 has a gigantic combustion chamber 42cc for an E31 vs 53.6cc for the P90, and would net you 7.6:1 compression on a stock 240 block. Get a '80 or later ZX L28 bottom end for your P90 or get a 240 head would be my suggestion.
