violacleff Posted April 1, 2005 Share Posted April 1, 2005 Well my car has a new motor and its tuned pretty rich till I get it on the dyno. Problem is usually my car takes about 3 turns to start, and it doesn't ever fire hard. Every once in a while my car won't start, or I'll have to keep turning it maybe 10 times or so. When this happens, sometimes I'll see smoke coming from the air filter when I turn it. Any ideas whats going on? Is this a tuning issue possibly? violacleff Posted April 10, 2005 Author Share Posted April 10, 2005 Well noone replied so I'm gonna give some more information and hope someone can help. When I first swapped the motor, the ignition was strong, and the car started right up. As time went on (days) it got harder and harder to start. I sprayed electrical cleaner on the dizzy connection and the coil connection, and it started up right away.
