Question about shipping something over seas

Recommended Posts

I have a Nissan AWD trans for sale on Ebay that weighs 175 lbs and is aprox 42" long.

I have several prospects looking to buy it, but they are overseas. One guy is in Auckland New Zeeland and wants a price for shipping. How do I go about sending something like this, to a place like that, and get a price to do so??

The trans is of no use to anyone here in the US, because the Nissan GT-R was never sold here, so all my buyers will be from other countries

If you can help me out with this, I'd really appreciate it....

HELP NEEDED PLEASE

THANK YOU

joel

Strap it to a pallet and take it to a freight forwarder, or consolidator to be put into a sea container that is getting filled up. That is the cheapest way. The weight really isn't all that important, the volume is......

Thanks Tim, but whats a freight forwarder, or consolidator? All I know of around me is your typical freeight truck Co.

Is there a special type of freight buisness that does what you described? or would any freight Co handle something like that?

Sorry for being so un informed...

Look in the yellow pages for "freight forwarding", or "Freight Consolidator". Basically it is a broker than can get your stuff in a container with a bunch of other people's/companies' stuff to fill the container.
