TomoHawk
I have catalogs from: MotorSport Auto Victoria British Tweeks (Would like a Moss motors Z catalog) What do you think of these companies? Is Tweeks just a place to get Z drink coaster & shirts, or a good place for performance stuff? MSA & V.B. look like decent general parts suppliers. Guest Anonymous
I use them for reference and bought a few items on sale from MSA. Tom, got your letter today and have all your stuff printed and threw in a "build up' article from Kit Car (which is a good one) Should get it in the mail within two days. jaime240z
I think tweeks stopped doing Z stuff. Everytime I request a catlog from them it's for Porshce parts.
Guest zfan
MSA and Victoria British both have been fair to me. Just a little bit pricey. Mike
jaime240z
hey guys, what's victoria british? do they have a web site?
TomoHawk
www.victoriabritish.com but they only have general information. Nothing like J.C. Whitney
jaime240z
Ah-Ha! I should have guessed that one. Thanks!
TomoHawk
Reguarding prices, you should probably keep in mind the number of potential Z customers (not many)the places have, and the amount of inventory the need to carry. Would you rather go to the junkyard to get ALL your stuff? It might explain things, but the stuff is still pricey
Guest Anonymous
Do not forget E Bay.. Denny 411 is living proof on some hot deals there
denny411
The key to ebay is the "hunt". You have to look under every possible description, ie, chevy, sbc, chevrolet, gm, gmc, and every other possible abreviation for the part you are looking for. Sometimes it actually seams like people are intensionaly trying to hide there stuff Another good idea is to ask sellers if they have anything else for sale. Many times they will sell you something for cheap outside of ebay, just to avoid the hassle of listing and waiting to get the money. That`s how I got the R230 w/ 4 halfshafts and the driveshaft for 350.
silicone boy
Regarding Victoria British, they have been wonderful to me. I'm close enough so that it's like next day shipping (if I call early enough in the day, I see it the next day). I think their prices are fair (as Tomohawk said, they have to keep a lot of inventory, and boy do they. You could build an entire car from the catalog if you wanted to)
Guest Anonymous
Dont forget nissan motorsports. Nismo parts has some cheap high po stuff. It is funny how an item's price can double from one catalog to another.
Guest silverbullet
Just my .02, I have had nothing but trouble from Victoria British, they are almost adversarial on the phone when you have a question about the products and they seem to know next to nothing about them. MSA might be a little spendy but their customer service is great as is their teck. line, like TomoHawk said I don't want to have to go to the junk yard for everything.
