auxilary
http://www.m1stang.com/ now you too can own a ford mustang convertable coupe for your MIATA. It's just like the original, only slower, worse looking, more expensive, etc etc
alsil
As a former 66 Mustang owner, I am insulted by this. Wouldn't it be cheaper to just get yourself a convertable Mustang? DUMB.
CruxGNZ
$5995+ tax or $9995 installed plus extras?!?!?! Plus for almost $10k you don't even get a paint job. What are people thinking? For that cash, and if you really liked a Miata, why wouldn't you just build yourself a Monster Miata and throw a nice body kit on it? Before I bought my Z, I was actually debating on making a Monster Miata, but I just couldn't drive myself to put anything Ford into anything I own (this is just my opinion remeber). I just don't get it. Also, why does it say "Easy to fix"? Does that kit fall apart often? Another thing, look at the email address: lemon spotter@aol.com hmmmm... I'm just play'n with my last comments. !M!
Guest Anonymous
They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. I don't know too many early Mustang owners that would agree with this one though. BTW I own a '66 coupe.
Dan Juday
Ok, rip me a fresh one, I like it. (I can hear the growning now) Kind of like what a real one would look like if you sectioned it.
fl327
i likem too, hey they put 302s in those things already, and it would fly, but the price of doing one is probably same as doing a real one, if your stang isnt too body rotted. jeromio
You can only say you like it if you haven't seen the other pictures (which I saw posted on another forum). I saw this, and thought, well, not great, not terrible. Then I saw it in context, with people standing next to it. It looks like a pedal car! It's really quite silly. Heavy Z
As much as we complain about "ricing" out a car, isn't this like the ultimate anti-rice statement? Taking a late-model japanese car and thoroughly rice-proofing it should be cause for jumping up and down!! Besides, THAT mustang actually has the potential to handle superbly, unlike the sleds that Ford put together. No offense to mustang guys, of course. This kit is for the mustang lover who won't settle for stationwagon-class handling, and if the pockets run deep enough, a 302 might even make the staunchest of purists wishing they too had a little more 'miata' in their favorite detroit pony... Guest Anonymous
The first Mustangs out sold like hotcakes. And about everyone woman over 40 has either dreamed of owning an eary Mustang or has owned one. Now , when you see a Miata, if you see who is behind the wheel .. a woman about 40. If you add the two up ..there is a lot of sales potential there. For some young Datsun Hybrid renagade this whole thing sounds implausible but to a 40+ year old approaching menopause this little two seater may prove to be a new lease on life and a way to re capture that glow of youth. Why would any one want to put a high powered motor in an old Datsun? Give it much thought and the whole proposition is insane unless you have ulterior motives (and other desires). Why Why Why Why
