lifegrddude
I have been messing with my adjustable fpr (Aeromotive) for about an hour now and I can't get the car to idle at all. I've adjusted the afm for the 370's (18 teeth leaner) and tried fuel pressures from 25psi all the way up to 40 with no luck. It just sputters and I have to give it about a 1/4 throttle to keep it from stalling. The weird part is that if I give it full throttle, it falls flat on its face and backfires out the afm... Any ideas as to what's going on? I'm wondering if maybe a wire on the ecu harness is giving me fits since lately I've had to push on the harness sometimes to get it to run right under boost. It's too dark outside now to work on my Z, but I'm hoping to have this fixed before my classes start tomorrow. Push come to shove, I'll throw the stock fpr back on and see if I have any luck with it starting. Thanks a bunch for any advice and help. fl327
I would check to see if the injectors are working correctly. A fpr wont have much to do with it unless its not holding fuel pressure level.
lifegrddude
I couldn't sleep cause that issue was bugging me so I took my Maglite outside with me and worked on the Z, and now it runs. Thanks for the suggestion, turns out it was what you thought and a bent ecu pin that kept the idle rough. I straightened the pin and fixed the loose injector clip and voila, instant smooth idle. Can't wait till morning now so I can crank the boost up to 11 psi and see how it feels.
