mas8230
I have the Summit 16 gallon fuel cell. It will not stop leaking around the white outlet washers. I tried tightening the fittings. It stopped for about 4 days, now it is seaping again. It is a brand new cell. I finally get the vent problem corrected, now this !!! Anybody have this problem ?? Any permanent fixes ?? Suggestions ??? Thanks.
mark
Take it apart, clean it, replace the washers or put it back together with you favorite gasoline safe gasket goo on the washers
blueovalz
I had the same problem with mine. I eventually put a softer (fuel safe) thin rubber-like washer between the white nylon ones and the cell material. This stopped it.
mas8230
Where did you get the fuel safe rubber washers? Any particular size? Thanks.
blueovalz
I can't remember where I got it, but it (I think I cut it out of a small piece of sheet) made it the same size as the white nylon type of washer used by the fuel cell (about 1 1/2" in diameter).
