Guest Anonymous
Not weird at all..common trade secret in the Brotherhood of Car Thieves. That double cut key on both sides is unneeded since a single cut key will work properly placed in the single keyed key way. There is no Santa Claus or flying reindeer. File the notchs of a key down and it will fit many of the Nissan line of vehicles.
Guest nezzie76
Yah I don't think it's all that weird either. I use 1 key for both Zs. It works. Saves me space on my key chain too.
Guest Anonymous
Nezzie 76, Do not let that one key fits all get around "tweeker" infested Lane County. They all will be lurking around your neighborhood waiting their turn at joy rides. They used to come into Ocbaar's backyard and borrow his 260 Z. H e chased a thief and his car all the way to the Post Office until the thief found the right gear and sped away. Ocbaar was running neck and neck with the rear bumper trying to persuade the teewker to abandon ship about the time 1st gear was substituted for 3rd gear. Lockjaw
HEy when the first Toyota camry's came out, and I was a teenager, we were all down in Gulf Shores and my mother and I went out to go somewhere in the car. I opened my door and then unlocked her's, put the key in the ignition and was about to turn the thing over when we both realized we were not in our camry. I thought the door lock was a little stiff. Maybe I should have tried driving it. My ZX keys come flying out of the ignition switch when I get on it hard. Nothing like fumbling around for them in the dark. labrat
Yeah, my girlfriend thought I was crazy the first time I pulled my keys out, got out of the car, and locked the doors with the engine still running. Makes a quick trip to the convenience store a lot more convenient when you don't have to wait 15 minutes to start your car due to starter heat soak...
