i have search throught alot of the mega squirt stuff but just keep ending up with a whole lot of MS terminanolgy and abbreviations, my question to you guys is that ones i buy the MSnS and all my boards and everything and then hook it up to me sensors, do i have to program in all my AFR's and Ingnition stuff myself or can i start the car with a "base tune" out of the box and drive it very carefully to my tuner and get him to do the rest or does it need some tuning first?

I think Tony D stated that it might start on the factory tune. (Not too sure on this)

 

Moby's sticky gives you something a lot more driveable. If you are just going to a tuner, I bet that will get you there.

There is a base setting on the Megasquirt, but I found it hardly drivable.

 

You will have to tune it "somewhat" to get it drivable.

 

Then if you get that far, you may as well finish tuning it yourself, cause that supposed to be part of the enjoyment.. isnt it?

if you dont want to do it yourself, use moby's base tune and you should be okay to drive it to the tuner.

i plan on doing all the wiring myself because that i have no issue with but when it comes to tuning it all seems a little daunting to me, does anyone here from australia use megasquirt
