innerware
So while trying to find a source locally for a used engine to rebuild I stumbled apon a Z for sale on Craigslist for 300 bucks. I went and saw it today and bought it. I now have two Z's!!! I was thinking that I would just take the engine and use some parts etc and then part the rest out. But really it is in way better shape than mine is. The body is straight, all panel lines are even, the engine had its head rebuilt 20K ago. The interior is really clean. There is only one small crack on the dash board. The carpet looks real nice and newish(compared to mine). It has very little dings etc. There is some surface rust but none too bad at all. The car was to be a project car and was covered up and forgotten about basically 7 years ago. It has a total of 140K original miles on it too. Mine has 300k. It is a 77 and mine is a 78. I just have to pick it up this next week as it is not running. Now that I have an extra Z I can finally take my time to do work on it and make it right. I will be rolling into my work (converted warehouse) and will start body work etc soon.I am just so happy. All the chrome is in nice shape, floor rails straight and clean. The guy had one previous he redid and sold. He has a ton of other cars that were projects like a 60 something truck that was beautiful and a 71 charger. Nice guy who just needs to make room. Anyway I thought I would share. I feel like a real addict now that I have 2 of them. My wife thinks I am crazy.

innerware
It gets towed Monday if all works out well with the truck. I am getting it on a flat bed to roll it into my shop where I work. I am in a converted warehouse and need to get it on the loading dock to roll it into the shop. I hope it takes the corners down the hallway. Pictures shall follow this week. Who hooo I am excited.
