Guest jdllaugh
I just got back from a Turkey Day trip to the folks' house in my old S10 4x4, with a dirt bike in the back. Before I began my 240z project, I pulled out the S10's broke 2.8 and replaced it with a 3.4 v6 out of a Camaro. I remember one point when I had the engine compartment completely stripped and all the parts scattered around my garage. I was pretty well convince the truck would never run again! I can't tell you how good it felt to drive across two states without so much as a hickup in a vehicle that I had rebuilt. Just thought I would share. Hope you all had a great holiday! denny411
I get that feeling every time I work on anything. It`s an addictive feeling that drives me to try bigger and more elaborate projects.
Len
That's what it's all about. It can't get any better than that! It will make you stronger to take on bigger things! Such is life.

RPMS
Good job on your engine swap, James! Give yourself a pat on the back! I had a bit of that feeling myself this past weekend, driving almost 1000 trouble-free miles to and from Amarillo in the BMW. For the first 100 miles, I couldn't make myself relax. I was positive it wouldn't make the trip in one piece, and that the replacement engine would grenade at any moment. Did I remember to tighten all the hose clamps? Did I get the fuel line on tight? I did top off the antifreeze, didn't i? I felt like a little old lady who feels compelled to turn the car around in the middle of a trip because she's afraid she left the iron on. As the miles rolled by, trust began to build, and by the end of the journey I was loving my car again. Feels great, doesn't it?
Guest jdllaugh
Thanks for the comments. RPMs, I felt excatly the same way!!! In one of life's little ironies, after bragging about my truck, the fuel pump went out Monday. It was a cheap electric pump I bought from O'Rileys for the swap. It had less than 2k miles on it! Somebody up there must have been watching out for me last week.....
