Guest ON3GO
Okay.. im doing a 12 gallon fuel cell in my blue Z, and redoing all the lines and etc. I got the Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator, have the S.S. flex lines from it to the fuel rail. What i need is new lines from and to the fuel cell. Should i do S.S. flex line from the fuel cell to the walbro 255 fuel pump and then from the fuel pump to the engine run some Russells 3/8's hard line? Fuel filter i still gotta buy as i wanna get one thats -AN fitted and has a replacable element. BUT what size micron filter should i run? do i need to run more then 1 filter as i know a few guys that runs 2 filters, a 100 micron and then a 10 micron. i want to make this a safe install, as ill be driving the car from texas to the SEZ event like the day after i finish this install, so is there anything i need to look out for or do to make me from not going up into flames on the way to GA? also i searched and found out that the 3/8 size line should be fine for my powerlevels, which will be around 350rwhp (once the bigger turbo goes on) and 400+lbs. and thanks for all the talking about the breather tube for the fuel cell, that helped out when i searched that and now i know where to route mine so i dont die mike
RB26powered74zcar
Hi Mike, I added a post to a fuell cell thread awhile ago trying to find out what pump most use. I have a Peirberg, but it dosen't allow AN fittings on both ends. Do you have the Walbro pump already? Does it have npt threads in both ends for AN style fittings? Guest ON3GO
ya the walbro is NPT. gonna have to get -AN to NPT fittings. I have the pump already so i wanna use it. The Fuel lines is my main problem. how many feet does it take to complete the Z? summit and others sells rolls of hardline in 25 feet, but i wanna do different colors for the return and main line. so ill have 50 feet of line.. should be plenty to do 2 cars i think.. am i right? mike

Sparky
Hey Mike, I run this filter http://store.summitracing.com/default.asp?Ntt=fuel+filter&x=0&y=0&Ntk=KeywordSearch&DDS=1&searchinresults=false&N=0&target=egnsearch.asp before my main pump (paxton kamikazi 750) and a 300ZXTT fuel filter before the pressure regulator. I also run the return off the regulator to clean things up a bit. 25FT should be enough to do the feed and return on one Z with a little left over..I also used the 3/8 alum tube as my feed line but will be redoing it as I install my Surge tank and new LP fuel pumps. I will also be changing the 300ZXT FF to a CM filter http://www.cmfilters.com/fuel.cfm# I'm hoping to start the Surge tank install next week sometime after I sell my 16" Wheels and tires.
