Guest bluex_v1
I will soon have a garage myself! My fiancee and I are buying our first house. Its only a 1 car door, but it opens up into a decent sized heated basement. It'll beat the hell out of working on the Z in the low lying flat part of our rented yard that always seems to retain an inch of water after it rains. I'm going to try my best to get my swap done before the meet in February. No way it'll be anywhere near race ready, but I hope it will at least drive me out there under 5.0 power. Certainly having tools right at hand and not being limited by climate or time of day will accelerate the project, but being first time homeowners, I have a feeling I'm going to be shocked at how much we are going to end up buying to get things in the house in shape before the wiser half will let me spend even a cent on the Z. Alright..back to the paperwork and phone calls.

zcarnut
Congrads as well BlueX! Accessible basements are the way to go if you’re into working on cars. One of our club members just found a modestly priced house with a full basement and a detached garage. He estimates that he can park six (and maybe seven) cars in the dry! (the dog) I like to look through Hemmings (in their real estate section) and see what houses/garages some car enthusiasts have built.
