Guest 73Turbo240z
Alright, i've been under my Z all afternoon working on the rear suspension, redid all the bushings out back w/ polyurathane, and started figuring out my ST rear swaybar kit, my Z was not originally equipped with a rear sway, so this was all figure it out on your own time. I took the rear crossmember that joins the 2 rear LCA points closest to the gas tank, and went to re-install it... and it now hits/interferes with the ST swaybar kit, it's hitting on the bottom bolt that the U-clamps use to hold the swaybar in place. now this rear crossmember piece ties the 2 rear most LCA's together, seems like a pretty important structural piece to me, so it's not somthing i want to just cut up and risk a major suspension failure down the line as a result. so has anyone else here installed this kit and had this problem? or do i sound like a total loony? i'll try to get some photos up of the issue today, but i really need to sort this out... so close to putting the rear back together! JMortensen
I noticed the same thing on my transverse link which is a lot modified, but what I did was to cut the corners off the bottom of the strap that holds the bushing.
