Guest Anonymous
but until I get my own web domain or something like that I can't support a database function, or something like that. Anyway, if anyone can host a couple of vids (about 4 megs each) that would be cool. They are just vids of me at Infineon raceway doing the open track thing. I just want to share, maaannn. (I got a video to computer conversion thing for Christmas) If not I guess it can all wait 'til I publish that freaking website I've been working on forever (not my fault, the free software demos keep running out! ) let me know if you can help. David K
Hey john, i was looking at the pics on your website and noticed your CAI system for your carb. Have you ever thought about getting rid of those hoses and fabricating a scoop like box that sits under the hood and lines up with underneath of the hood scoop? I was just thinking of ways you could shorten the air passage to the carb.
Mudge
I've got some space, I could maybe even compress them further? (WMV) I can setup an FTP for you if you'd like to upload, and then I can transfer them over, or my email address will take them IF you have an email address that wont complain about your big message. william@fortmason.org
Guest Anonymous
Yes David, that was the first induction design idea I had. I even had mounting points for the hose on the underside of the hood (those black marks in the photos). I went crazy trying to line-up the duct plate that would slide into the box on the carb and fit well. (Maybe it's just a plate on the carb and the entire box lifts up?) I'm going to revisit the CA soon. I'm starting to dabble in laminates and that airbox would be a good project to try. Mudge, thanks for the offer. My internet service at the house is all screwed-up. I'm in the process of switching ISPs. I should be online later this week if all goes well. I'll contact you then. Thanks again.
David K
What is the function/purpose for the gurney flap?
Guest Anonymous
Hahaha, it's called being bored and alone with the car on a Saturday afternoon. Gurney flaps increase downforce with very little drag penalty. I don't need it, but I thought I'd try it for next time at the track (like I'd notice a difference at my speeds anyway). But really, I think it just looks cool.
