dsommer
OK I'm getting PO'd Heres the deal I've replaced EVERYTHING out back you name it. Current set up Tokico (sp) struts filled the tubes w/oil MS springs came w/car Polyurethane everywhere New diff mount stock rubber LSD CV axels AZ big brake kit 280Z stub axels New axel bearings Everytime I hit a bump it sounds like the friggin rearend is "loose" It's all tight though. Almost sounds like the struts are to short and bouncing inside the sleeves or something It's horrible. Did I miss something??? I've had it apart twice not and cannot figure out what's loose. My next idea is to rip the rear apart and install coil overs to see if that makes the noise go away. I'm at my ropes end. David
JMortensen
Are the gland nuts threading all the way down to the strut tubes? If the nuts couldn't tighten on the top of the strut inserts then they would actually tighten against the top of the strut tube itself. That would be a problem. 280Zone
Did you check your strut insolators? The rubber is getting old and I have seen a few that fail.
