David K
Unless you are a family member looking for a long lost loved one, i feel that it is wrong for people to type in your name and have the option to buy information. They can basicaly get your entire life!!!!! Wrong! http://www.ussearch.com on the front page, enter the name of the person you are looking for. Then when it gives you results, click on the name and it will give you options on the info they can sell you. I cant believe this is legal. Guest timhypo
Thanks for posting the link, I managed to track down an old friend I hadn't talked to in like 10 years. Also, http://www.courtclerk.org leads to the Hamilton County (OH) Clerk of Courts website, where you can look up anyones arrest details. Freedom of information is generally good in my opinion... Guest craig
The information you get from that site is nothing compared to the data that is availible and has been mined about you. Back in my misspent youth I had access to all kinds of databases tracking the modern american comsumer. InfoAmerica provided complete credit and financial information on everyone... open accounts, numbers, amounts, payment history, etc etc... as did the major credit reporting agencies. And then if you really want to be scared you should see the files the major marketeer companies have on you... Do you use a grocery discount card? They have every single item you purchase in a database. Use a credit card to buy anything? Its in the database. There is no such thing as privacy. Mudge
So true Craig. The Grocery card I have, they require you to bring in a form yada yada with your info on it, but they give you the card up front anyway, I never filled it out. I brought that up with a Safeway person once, and they said no they dont use it for anything like that (shopping patterns), sorry bud, but I know better.
