jonnymrp
I’m planning out my build for my 76 280Z witch will start come winter time pretty much building the cliché part race part street car with intentions of auto X I want to fabricate a set of wheel flare fenders and play around with my English wheel. to achieve this look I will either need to build a wide track suspension or go with a rim with a bunch of offset. I know rims with offset can have a affect on the cars handling. Have any of you out there anything to say. On Z cars is there any real affect. The problem is my car is not a driver and I have never rode in or driven My Z or any Z for that matter. if any of you could help me out tell me what you have found. jonnymrp
Funny… I do understand the humor. It’s just I’m a second year apprentice at a BMW dealership. Pretty much what ive been learning there over the past years is, how to pay attention to the tiny details. Say? Infinitesimal details? Macroscopic details? I think what I’m rely trying to think about is how I can make the best car I can. And lack of experience is my weakness however I have been a hobber forever since I can remember. And I do have faith I can build this car to fill all my dreams without totally overfilling the budget. But we all know that’s not going to happen. jon…
PUSHER
While yes, I can kinda read your questions, 68% of hybridz is full of very wise, informative people that are blind as crap because they're 100+ years old. So you might want to increase the size of your font so people dont have to copy and paste it to enlarge it. Creating a wider track rear suspension sounds like a project. I've read that you can mount/fab up a 240sx rear suspension onto a z and that will widen your rear track, so you might look into that. As for low offset wheels, Ill leave that to someone else as im not 100% sure on how Id go about answering that question. Hell, Ill try. Basically you cant run a 12 inch wide wheel unless you have like 18s-19s because you wont find decent streetable tires for them. So realistically your going to have to use a 15 or 16. They dont really make performance tires in these sizes super wide, so you'll probally be limited to a 8-9.5 inch width wheel. This only leaves you so much room to backspace before your at like -75 offset. I'm stopping here, hope to have given you some ideas. Ask for me to clarify if your confused.
