280zNHChris
Hi, I have a '72 with '82 L28et swap, the oil in bolt on the turbo oil line is leaking around it. I cleaned it and drove it and it does it constantly. I looked it up on microfieche and it says it's part of an engine gasket kit, I don't need a whole kit. My question is can I get universal gasket hi-temp and cut myself or do I need their's? Also, the way the big bolt is with the oil intake it almost looks like there should be o-rings in there or else I don't see how it would keep oil in without them. It actually doesn't seem like it's leaking from where the 2 bolts are around it where the "gasket" should be? I haven't taken it apart yet so I have no idea. Thanks Chris
Z-Gad
There should be 2 brass washers. One is under the bolt, the other is between the bolt-on-flange and the oil line.
280zNHChris
And the 2 washers hold the oil in? Should I remove it and take them somewhere and match up? or do you think I should go nissan parts? Thanks Chris
280zNHChris
Another question. I just called nissan and he said they are definately copper washers.? Could I use brass or do they have to be copper? Thanks Chris

280zNHChris
Well I had to get thicker than stock, almost twice as thick but tight on the bolt. Took it for a spin, no leak!!! Thanks. Anyone think there is a chance the 2 new gaskets might restrict the oil flow? Looked like there was enough allowance on the Banjo Bolt to flow fine. Thanks again, Chris
