dosquattro
I've picked up a couple sets of the s12's at my local pick and pull since I can get them for 20 for a set. Alot of them are covering in rust but nothing a wirewheel wouldn't clean up. Then a 94 4runner came in and I scored the calipers off of that since they were super clean and knowing that they were still fresh and god knows how long those toyo pickups and 4runners have been sitting out in the yard for. ANyways, the calipers off of the 94 4Runner are stamped s13 unlike the older 4 piston calipers with the s12 markings. These have the same mounting points but just curious if anyone has used these yet? Also for those with the s12 calipers and SS braided lines. Where do you get your lines from or can I just get SS braided lines for the 4runner for whatever year you get the calipers from or use Z lines? I've searched and read through the "brake option" FAQ thread and only saw one post about the s13's and nothing about what brake lines to use. auxilary
no you didn't. The S13W caliper is designed for a thicker rotor (25mm) than the S12W (which uses a 22mm thick rotor). As a result, the S13W is wider and heavier than the S12W. The piston area is the same between the two, but the S13W has about 10% more brake pad area.
