Guest Anonymous
Well I let my brother drive my car last night down to blockbuster. What happens? A kid in a freakin' Paseo or MX3 or something looks over and then back a couple times. I think nothing of it, but my brother looks around and proceeds to (he said) 'just let the clutch out' , well rubber in first and second and no chance for the kid in his new little used car. Second bogie, later model pontiac GTA convertable. he's ignoring me driving this time on the way home. I'm somewhat pre-staged behind him at the traffic light, I pull up to stage and my GTA still doesn't look, light turns green, he's a bit interested he's pacing, bad idea, because my next move was to the floor and so was his and then into second, we had traffic and I didn't get a clean run on him because we had to slow down (I had to slow down ALOT), but I had an easy car and a half on him, sure wish I could have gotten into third with him, he would have hated that alot. Gotta be cool though, take this action to the strip, or they're gonna ticket this out of town boy and they don't play with exhibition of speed here at all. Regards, Lone Ps: Bro's opinion on the Z? "Damn, hope my ranchero has torque like yours..." haha.. (I hope not and that his car is heavier or theres going to be some stuff talking I have a feeling..) Guest Thurem
Lone I guess here in AZ most of the cops are very keen on their radarguns, so you should use this fact to your advantage and get a good radardetector (a friend of mine swears by his Valentine 1, as he's regularly doing a ton plus on city streets). That said I once had a cop in Phoenix clock me while he was in front of me on his bike. He let me go and I didn't tell him that I had been off the gas for about 1/2 a mile when I saw him (I was doing about 95 in the commuterlane). DavyZ
I enjoyed the read, Lone! Good stories--now how about the truth that the little ricer just plain spanked your butt with his n/a 4 cyl?? lol Man, keep the stories coming, because I love the way you tell 'em!! Heh heh, love it. Email me once in a bloomin' while! Davy
pparaska
Well, as of just a short while ago, Lone had a Mohawk, so he'd be pretty memorable due to just that! Lone, you did get rid of the Mohawk, no?

Guest Anonymous
FL327, Heh, thanks I'm trying to teach a few lessons down here, have to be carefull though, theres a few players here that are a handful at least for now. (theres a certain black vette that runs around here runs in the 12's, that once I get some HP into this thing either spray or whatever that I'm going to looking for. ). Pete, Correct, the Mohawk is indeed gone, 1) Its basically hell hot here even now and going hotter and 2) I'll need to get a job down here, so have to look respectable , its a chrome dome now, I did that for a number of years before, hides the grey and with my young looks makes it a bit easier to pass yourself off younger to the ASU co'eds... Also, for those that didn't see me before and few if any had, I went from massive 305 lbs down to not quite a svelte yet 185 as of this morning and still losing (wanna know what that is in pant sizes? today I slid into 36's, before ahem.. 48's ), I suspect thats why my car seems much faster now, less lead in the drivers ass.... (how? major eating lifestyle change (forever, not a diet), mostly low in sugar and carb, goal about 160-165). Ironic that the one weight loss on the car we never discuss is to lighten the driver... RacerX, No problem, I thought you probably didn't catch who I was exactly, but it was nice meeting you and seeing that stunning 810 of your daughters. The A/C is working actually pretty darn good, today was 104 and in traffic with the ford blower motor in there (which is rubbing slightly and making a racket) it was actually pretty tolerable after it drew all the hot air out, I had a nice stream of cool air hitting my face, so I was happy with it. As a side note, I wondered if it would get a bit hotter on the gauge here with the air on, in traffic with the heat here. I'm happy to report it ran about 185 coming home and it was a tad cooler than that before I goosed it a few times. If there's anyplace to test a cooling system this is definitely one of the places to do it. DavyZ, LOL, yeah passed by a paseo...NOT... Hmm, yeah I'll have to write, you do have my Email address still don't you... ahem... Regards, Lone Ps: Whats really cool, is my nieces run a coffee house (The Muse) about a 1/2 block from ASU so needless to say I hang there alot, even with summer starting and many of the students have left the scenery is still damned wicked...
