Guest zfan
My 240Z has Arizona Z springs. They are stiffer than stock, I think 180/200 lbs. Also Tokico struts (blue), I would like to keep the stock ride heigth but go with a stiffer spring in the rear to combat so much squat. Does anyone know where I can purchase springs for the rear that are stiffer like maybe 225-275 lbs and keep the original heigth. I would appreciate any info you can give. Thanks, Mike
johnc
I don't think you can get any stiffer without going to coil overs. You might want to try changing the shocks to Tokico Illuminas.
Guest zfan
Thanks John, I guess I might have to pony up and go coil overs. Do the Tokico Illumina's stiffen the back up much on the high setting? Mike
2126
Technically speaking a damper does not effect a spring's rate but, will vary the speed at which the spring responds to movement. Basically, the more you increase the damper adjustment (if it has one) the slower the spring will respond. The more you decrease the damper adjustment, the faster the spring will respond. That why John suggests the Illuminas....they are adjustable.
