Guest zfan
Actually that was the stock line. Go figure, maybe leaking due to a crappy rebuilt master cylinder? I am going to buy a new one. Next question would be where can I get one for a good price. I just about pooped my pants when I called Courtesy Nissan...330 bucks for a friggin master cylinder, someone take me out back and shoot me please! ezzzzzzz
Fix the leaks first. Did you bleed the MC? If you don't do this you'll never get pressure to the calipers. I use speed bleeders but first I force fluid up to the MC from each caliper/cylinder using a pressure bleeder to get the lines well bleed. Afterwards, I replace the bleed screws with speed bleeders and give it a traditional bleed. There are those that will cry about air/moisture being induced this way. I've never had a problem and have followed this method for 25 years.
Guest zfan
I bleed the hell out of them. I am going to try and fix the leak but it did not leak before so I am wondering if it is the piece of crap rebuilt master cylinder causing the leak. I have a 15/16 i got from the JY I was thinking to rebuild it but are the aftermarket seals and what not worse.....?
Guest zfan
Solved brake issues: Bad master cylinder, bought a brand new one for 120.00 and installed. Also not sure if I did it yesterday or not but reaction disc slipped, so I glued it on and bleed system. Man the brakes are night and day better. Now to install a vacuum pump as my cammed 385 sbc makes only 10" of vacuum. Thanks to everyone for their helpful hints and idea's. I love this site!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
