Guest 70datsun240 Posted November 15, 2005 Share Posted November 15, 2005 Hey, My friend came across a complete rear end that has been imported from japan. It is off a 1994 240sx and it has a vlsd. It comes with all driveshafts, brakes, suspension parts, EVERYTHING. Also was told it has less than 60k on it. He said he would give it to me for $330. That sounds like a good deal to me but I dont know how difficult it would be to transpland into my 71 240!!, I rally only want the diff. But i think its the short nose diff? would it fit the same as the long nose by flipping the curved mustache bar? Do i need to swap my 4 lug to 5 lug? If someone could let me know, or point me in the right direction that would be much appreciated!! and if I find out that its not the right rear for me and anyone is interested in me getting it for them, please let me know, Thanks! Cal Poly Zmanaustin Posted November 15, 2005 Share Posted November 15, 2005 Price for diff is decent if you like the ratio. Nothing you have is bolt on with that setup. You would have to figure out a front mount since flipping the MB won't work. You could use the calipers if you fab or order brakets from someone like Ross at Modern Modersports aka "Ross C" on the board. Good luck.
