z ya
I had never even driven the car without the DR's on so when I did the pinion control thing I decided to see what the stock street tires felt like on the car. It was a blast ! Every time you barely step on the gas the tires squeal from all stop signs and chirp 2nd. After this I decided to see how the pinion deal would hold up. So, I went out to a country back road and stood on it from a stop! The tires boiled to 6200 rpm then came the 2nd gear shift and the the hides kept boiling and the z was fishtailing like a big dog! Ran it up to 6200 again and chirped 3rd in the 700r4! Man I better put the drags back on or I am gonna get in trouble!
Guest zfan
Sounds like fun!! Hard on the tires though. Im looking at buying drag radials this week myself. What brand and size drag radials do you run? Mike

Guest zfan
Rick, It has been a long time. It's ok I installed a new motor 6 months ago and am running the 700r4 I picked up from you. I am going to the drag strip next weekend to see how it all comes together. Need drag radials to really get the job done. So how is life treating you? Hows the car coming along?
