Guest SamIam
This might be a dumb question but should I change my axles on my 86 300zx to performance axles before I swap my engine or do any type of forced induction? or are the axles strong enough to handle it. I don't plan on pushing my car really hard and probably won't strive for more than 400hp. The streets of Baltimore are pretty messed so there won't be alot fast driving. blueovalz
They should be fine, but anytime one asks a question of this nature, tires (sticky or street), application or use of vehicle (drag or street), and torque (not so much horsepower) are key considerations. 2126
Like Terry says....they should be fine with the stock axles! However, if you tend to be a person who likes to flog the beast, then I'm sure you will wind up breaking something at some point in time. The weakest link will always rear it's head first!
