oinojo
alright im a newb when it comes to talking about electrical so bare with me. How exactly am i supposed to connect the resistor in between the Tach wire (pin24) and the Fidle (pin30). What i did was wrap the wire around the ends of the resistor. It sounds sketchy but i have no clue exactly how it should go and it would explain some or my MS wiring/connection probs.

trippintl0
i used crimp connectors, and just inserted the ends of the resistor in with the wire and crimped it. (i didn't crimp the resistor wire by itself, i stuck it in with the wire i was attaching it to)
ngrimm
I like to have a mechanical connection ie crimp or twist connection, and then solder. What I do is put a short piece of shrink tubing on the wire, twist the wires together as small as possible, solder therm together, slide the shrink tubing over the soldered area, heat the tubing to shrink it. IMHO Shirink tubing is a must since electrical tape will come off eventually. Radio Shack sells packages with several sizes. I always use it when making cables as well. All it takes is one strand of wire to create a fatal short. Norm
