tannji
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mechanicshttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thermodynamics You guys are confused because an engine/turbo SYSTEM combines both mechanics and thermodynamics. Evaluating the system from only one of these paradigms is incomplete. Who is "You Guys"? = ) I am not confused, but then, I didnt make blanket statements/condemnations, either. My point all along was that no one claimed anything about the STS efficiency, and that everyone who is fixated on heat is forgetting that the engine is going to be chugging away, blowing mass amounts of exhaust, no matter how we argue the heat side of the equation. Exhaust has to go somewhere, or you get shut down by backpressure. STS gives that exhaust, no matter its temp, something productive to do before it culminates its cycle as pollution.
