Im swapping my old 77 dizzy to a 83 zxt. i already have the turbo oil pump shaft. but the dizzy doesn't sit on the engine its if its missing a spacer or something?. Any one know? AK-Z Posted December 17, 2005 Share Posted December 17, 2005 there is a piece that the old dizzy sits on and has the dizzy advance adjuster thing, that need to be removed. mario_82_ZXT Posted December 17, 2005 Share Posted December 17, 2005 Does the ZXT have the stock ECU? If so, it won't work, since it needs to be locked (no advance) if its an 81, or in needs the CAS inside it if its a 82 or 83. If you are putting a turbo dizzy on an NA car with stock electronics, it won't work since it has no mechanical or vacuum advance.
