trwebb26
Hey everybody... I'm rewiring my 280z for megasquirt. I'm planning on completely removing the old ECU. Does anybody know what all of the wires leaving the ignition relay do? I would like to know what they all do - but I am most curious about the white wire with the black stripe. Thanks! wal280z
I haven't studied it throughly, but I do know if you remove it from the mounting plate and hold on to it when you start the car you get 'tickled'. I posted the '78 FSM wiring diagram a while ago - http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=96990 look for post #13. Wayne
Here comes trouble
it appears that the white with black stripe wire goes to a 10 Amp fuse (Ignition interlock) in the fuse block and then to a seat belt buzzer. I could be wrong on this but used my 78 factory manual to trace the wire to the best of my "ability"
