Bartman
I finally started the installation process for Vintage Air on my LT1 powered 240Z. I started by installing the Bowers AC Bracket on the engine, and it wound up being a really tight fit. Here's a pic of the bracket set in place: And Here's a close up showing the clearance: I ground the back of the bracket as much as I could and performed a little clearancing on the strut tower. The front of the bracket isn't an issue, but you can see the clearance at the back is about 1/8 of an inch. I'm not sure if this is enough clearance, do I need to do some more clearancing? Guest 73LT1Z
What type of motor mounts are you running? Polys will limit the travel somewhat, but it still looks too close to the tower. How does the belt fit on that setup? I see the LT1 alternator is in the F-body passenger side location, so does the belt run under the throttle body? Here's a pic with the belt installed...It runs under the water pump.

Guest 73LT1Z
Here is a comparison pic of the Corvette stuff mounted w/o a belt in place: I'd say there is no easy way out here.
