Yep, mother nature dumped a few inches of the white stuff on the Mid-Atlantic. WINTER IS HERE! The Little Gold Z Sled got to an early start this morning getting me to work before the boss. It snowed last night then freezing rain on top of that. The Z Sled drifted the entire way to work(mostly on purpose). It wasn't that much snow, but my Z is about 4" off the ground and was dragging bottom the whole way. No problem, let a little air out of the back tires(I mean seriously, we are nearly setting on top of the rear axle anyway) put an old battery in the back and a 10lb air tank(for re-inflating later). The snow and ice is no match for the Z Sled. HOHOHO!

Hey Eric Z, As I was reading your post, my wife is watching TV and I overheard about the power outages in NC. I feel you pain man. A few years ago, I had many freinds loose power do to heavy icing. I let a couple of them use my shower during there 12 days without power. Hope things get back to normal for you guys soon(at least it warmed up a little today). Meanwhile, The Z-Sled uses its Airdam as a plow.

One of our Z bretherin who has since left the Z scene (Mark Schiller to those in F'burg and Roanoke) is on his way down there to free you folks of your power woes... Va. Power offered their employees Mega bucks to go down and lend a hand, and Mark Jumped at the chance!

Jamie, you get my phone call message??? Turnbuckles are in... Cromoly turnbuckles...!

A whole army of cherrypicker trucks and crew from Georgia came thru my neighborhood today and powered us back up.

The weather here was bad Wednesday and Thursday, but it was fine after that - almost warm even. Everything melted. Just didn't have no stinkin power. And everything was cancelled: work, school, etc. (was supposed to have a weekend team exercise at school today). So, I had all this free time, but no power to get any work done.

No excuse now - except that I'm exhausted from cleaning up all the tree limbs all over the neighborhood. My house was fine - just 3 big limbs came down. Took out the fence - no big deal.
