AK-Z
I was wondering what you guys had to limit chain whipping at high rpms, to be more spacific the crappy tensioner that nissan had on there.
JMortensen
Search "Kameari". That is the be all end all chain setup IMO. About $400 from Japan if you can find someone to buy it and ship it across the Pacific IIRC.
AK-Z
Yeah I remembered reading about that awhile ago. I found the thread but none of the likes work.Well looks like I'm going to have to make a gear cad model and have my friend "test" his water jet with it. AK-Z
Thx, but I think thats a little pricey for me right now. I'll try to model one in cad and see if I can get one made. But in reality I'll get lazy and give up and buy one through my uncle and have him ship it to me.
katman
That's what the slack side guide is for. We upgrade the bolts, slot the holes, blueprint the curvature, and squeeze that puppy up tight on our ITS motors. YMMV

katman
Bend the ends so its not diggin' in to the chain- i.e. match the curved guide curvature with the natural curve the chain wants to make, and so the transition is smooth across the tensioner. Most of the time its just a matter of finding a happy place in the bolt slots.
