big-phil Posted February 19, 2006 Share Posted February 19, 2006 I was threading my wast gate rod, cut it in half, then cut about 1/2 to 3/4 inch out then thread each end and put a coupler with 2 nuts on each end to lock the setting in. Then the end with the flat part with the hole broke off! (thats when I used the word poop, and crap.) No big deal really, I'll just weld it back on. Oh and the tapping die that you want is *1/4-20* thats, 1/4 inch with 20 threads per inch. It works perfectly Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
