vashonz
Just welded up a new intake pipe to go from the IC to the throttle body. I still need to weld the flange for the bypass/BOV. I don't know if I should do the extra plumbing to recirc or just vent to atmosphere. Either will work fine because the AFM has been replaced with a MAP. Drax240z
Cool, how did you do the little neck down for the BOV? Or was it a preformed piece you robbed off something else? Great location for the BOV though. I assume that it is directly opposite the TB once installed. Good idea!
vashonz
The neck was a transition piece I got from the local NAPA (they actually have some steel mandrel bends there too). The bov fits nicely between the TPS and the fenderwell. If I still had the stock coils this location would not work. The TB will actually be on the right side of the pipe, I thought about putting the BOV opposite the throttle, but there would have been an interference problem with the radiator. 240hoke
grind those welds down and powdercoat it, will look like one piece!
TimZ
That looks really good - you'll want to put a bead on either end for hose retention (assuming you'll be clamping a hose to either end)
Cody 82 ZXT
Those are some nice tight bends. You bought those are Napa? Or are they doughtnuts that are cut up. I'm thinking about selling off my HKS kit and starting over so I can do it all my own way like that.
240zwannabe
wow, great idea. never seen anybody with a bend like that specifically for the BOV to vent that way from the throttlebody
